Vadodara's Property Tax Rebate Scheme Extended

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has announced an extension of its advance property tax rebate scheme for the financial year 2026-27, now available until September 10. This decision comes in response to numerous requests from taxpayers, providing them with an additional month to take advantage of the concessions offered for early payments.

Rebate Details for Property Owners

Under this scheme, residential property owners who opt for online tax payments can enjoy an 11% rebate, while commercial property owners are eligible for a 6% rebate. As of August 7, the VMC reported a significant collection of Rs 186.45 crore under this initiative, indicating a positive response from the community.

Important Dates and Reminders

Taxpayers are reminded that after the September 10 deadline, the VMC will commence issuing regular property tax demand notices for the 2026-27 financial year. Additionally, the revenue department has highlighted that September 30, 2026, is the last date for renewing Professional Establishment Certificates (PEC) for traders and business establishments.
